Round the Clock was inspired by two complementary threads: powerful contemporary art and the need for humans to rethink and relearn coexistence with the natural world, starting from a place of respecting the places we inhabit. The exhibition focused on themes of recovering this respect for the planet’s resources and energies as they make human life possible. In EcoArt Project’s curation of the project, art and sustainable ecosystems were frequently placed in dialogue with each other. Artists used simple materials of modest means, including paper, cardboard, ash, plastic, plexiglass, iron, stone, steel, glass, water, fabric, earth, and light, and media ranged widely from photography and videography to installation, performance, and sculpture.
