Venerdì 4 giugno alle ore 18.00 inaugura la mostra SEEDS: The EcoArt Show, primo evento espositivo della piattaforma EcoArt Project, organizzata da Fortunato Productions e Associazione Art For Promotion, in collaborazione con Interno Ventidue Arte Contemporanea.
Nella suggestiva location dell’Aranciera di San Sisto a Roma saranno esposti i lavori dei cinque artisti finalisti del concorso Contemporary EcoArt Contest 09: Christine Bolewski, Nino Lo Castro, Svetlana Ostapovici, Sabina Sala e Ljudmilla Socci - e il vincitore Sabato Angiero.
Sarà promossa l’edizione di quest’anno del concorso, dal titolo Pure Water Vision: Acea EcoArt Contest 2010, che vede come Main Sponsor Acea Spa, gestore del servizio idrico integrato – acquedotto, fognatura e depurazione - che ha sposato il progetto con l’intento di focalizzare l’attenzione degli artisti sull’importanza del ciclo dell’acqua, in tutte le sue fasi, ed in particolare quelle in cui l’uomo è chiamato ad intervenire con le sue tecnologie, al fine di preservare il futuro del pianeta.
La mostra è organizzata in collaborazione con Interno Ventidue Arte Contemporanea, che esporrà opere di Lucilla Catania, Dirk Westermann, Alessio Pierro, Paolo Porelli, Rosetta Messori e Ernesto Morales.
EcoArt Project è la piattaforma creativa, ideata da Pino Fortunato nel 2009, con l’obiettivo di ricercare e promuovere la Green-Art, intesa come produzione artistica ispirata a tematiche di eco-sostenibilità. In occasione dell’evento SEEDS: The EcoArt Show sarà infine pubblicato il primo numero del progetto editoriale EcoArt Book, con il catalogo This is The EcoArt Book One 2009, che racchiude il meglio di un anno di attività.
L’esposizione ospita anche l’installazione delle 100 sedie rosse del progetto Chance-Encouter on the Tiber, creato da Robert Hammond e Lisa Bielawa, Fellows dell’American Academy in Rome, 2009. L’installazione, già realizzata al MAXXI in occasione della sua apertura e poi sulla banchina del Tevere a Ponte Sisto, fa parte di un progetto sperimentale di rivitalizzazione artistica e urbanistica sostenibile del Tevere avviato dall’Associazione Internazionale no profit Tevereterno. EcoArt Project ha creato sinergia con il progetto Chance-Encounter con lo scopo di moltiplicare le occasioni di sviluppo progettuale e di viralità comunicativa.

Exhibition of works and projects from the EcoArt Project cultural platform

On Friday 4th June at 6pm the exhibition SEEDS: The EcoArt Show will open, the first exhibition event from the EcoArt Project platform, organized by Fortunato Productions and the Art For Promotion Association in collaboration with Interno Ventidue Arte Contemporanea.
At the fascinating location of the Orangery of San Sisto in Rome, the works of the five finalist artists from the Contemporary EcoArt Contest 09 will be exhibited - Christine Bolewski, Nino Lo Castro, Svetlana Ostapovici, Sabina Sala and Ljudmilla Socci - with the winner Sabato Angiero.
The current edition of the competition, entitled Pure Water Vision: Acea EcoArt Contest 2010, will also be promoted, the main sponsor being Acea Spa, provider of the integrated water service - waterworks, drains and purification - who has taken on the project with the intent to focus the attention of artists on the importance of the water cycle, in all its phases, including those in which man is called to intervene with his technologies, with the intent to preserve the future of the planet.
The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Interno Ventidue Arte Contemporanea, which will exhibit the works of Lucilla Catania, Dirk Westermann, Alessio Pierro, Paolo Porelli, Rosetta Messori and Ernesto Morales.
EcoArt Project is the creative platform, conceived by Pino Fortunato in 2009, with the objective of researching and promoting Green Art, intended as artistic production inspired by the theme of eco-sustainability. Furthermore, in occasion of the event SEEDS: The EcoArt Show, the first issue of the EcoArt Book editorial project will be published, with the catalogue This is The EcoArt Book One 2009, that contains the best of a year of activity.
The exhibition will also host the installation of 100 red chairs from the project Chance-Encounter on the Tiber, created by Robert Hammond and Lisa Bielawa, Fellows of the American Academy in Rome, 2009. The installation, already realized at MAXXI in occasion with its opening and then on the banks of the Tiber at the Sisto Bridge, is part of an experimental project of artistic and urban sustainable revitalization of the Tiber begun by the non-profit International Association Tevereterno. EcoArt Project has created synergy with the Chance-Encounter project with the scope of multiplying the occasions of project development and viral communication.
