WHAT IS REBOUND-NYC?

Rebound-NYC, incubated by EcoArt Project, is a curated program of art installations in dormant storefronts.

The initiative repurposes empty storefronts into transformative art experiences and aims to beautify and revitalize the city by empowering artists through curated exhibitions and commissioned performances.

The initiative leverages lessons from successful creative placemaking projects with artists generating foot traffic which nourishes community vibrancy, and ultimately leads to safer streets, promoting economic recovery. 

OUR ART INSTALLATIONS 

Our art installations include visual art exhibitions (including photography, painting, sculptures, video and light installations) as well as performing arts (including music, interactive theatre, and other experiences). Each site is dedicated to a single artist, an artist collective, or a more complex project dependent on the venue. Depending on the specific venue and its needs, we can utilize the entire interior space, part of it, or solely the windows. Artists are selected either through direct curatorial invitations or through online juried competitions. EcoArt Project’s core pillars are climate change, environmental protection and sustainable development. These themes are consistently carried out through our arts programs.
