DISGREGAZIONI
L’ambiente in cui viviamo è un organismo aggredito e malato, un sistema che sta collassando incapace di reagire, e come braccato si difende lacerato per riuscire a sopravvivere, ma è già molto compromesso e con poche risorse. Stiamo attraversando un periodo di grande preoccupazione che riguarda il nostro pianeta e le generazioni future. Siamo entrati in allarme e se vogliamo salvare la nostra vita e l’ambiente dobbiamo cambiare le nostre abitudini, se fino a qualche anno fa si poteva far finta di non saperlo o di non pensarci adesso non è più possibile. Siamo entrati in riserva e la linea rossa all’interno di questa mia serie di quadri manifesta l’urgenza di fare i conti ognuno con il suo quotidiano nel tentativo estremo di modificare un danno che sembra essere irreparabile. Lo stato d’emergenza è il nostro momento attuale, per uscirne dobbiamo tutti non solo saperlo, ma cominciare a fare qualcosa.

BREAKDOWN
The environment in which we live is an ailing organism under constant attack, a system which is collapsing, unable to react. Like a hunted, wounded animal it defends itself in a desperate bid to survive, but it is already compromised and devoid of resources. We are passing through a period of great concern regarding our planet and the survival of both our own andfuture generations. Now the alarm has been raised and if we want to save ourselves and environment we have to change our ways: while we could, until a few years ago, pretend to know nothing of these iussues or merely refuse to think about them, this is now no longer possible. We are running with the petrol gauge on empty and in fact the red line in my series of pictures is a manifestation of the urgent need to take stock of our lives in a final attempt to arrest the damage which already seems irreparable.
This state of emergency is happening now. To end it we must all partecipate, not only to be aware, but to actualy start to do something.
