Il riciclaggio previene lo spreco di materiali potenzialmente utili, riduce il consumo di materie prime, e riduce l'utilizzo di energia. Per questo il riciclaggio è un concetto chiave che deve diventare una responsabilità sociale. Essendo molto usata per gli imballaggi, la plastica è uno dei principali componenti dei rifiuti solidi; inoltre, non è biodegradabile e alcune tipologie di plastica contenenti cloro producono diossina quando bruciate: è dunque fondamentale riciclarla quanto più possibile. La plastica non verrà mai smaltita completamente né dalla terra né dal mare.

Recycling prevent the waste of potencially usefull materials, reduce the raw material’s comsumption and reduce the use of energy too. Recycling is a key component that has to become a social responsabilty. Plastic is very used in packing, it is the main component of the waste, it is not biodegradeble and some kind of plastic contain dioxin when burnt. Therefore it is fundamental recycling plastic as much as possible. Plastic will never completely dispose neither from the ground nor from the sea.
