Simonetta Giacometti ha sviluppato l’attitudine a guardare alle cose con sguardo spregiudicato. Nel confrontarsi col tema del riuso vede nei piccoli laccioli di plastica, oggetti comuni della vita quotidiana, potenzialità compositive inedite e analogie inedite. La Cascata iridescente trasfigura il materiale in vaporose catene sensibili alla luce, sfruttandone le caratteristiche note.

Simonetta Giacometti has developed the specific attitude to look at things using a prejudiceless view. Testing herself with the recycling methods, she acquires a special observation point examining the little plastic bandage string, which are objects commonly used in the day to day life: she noticed that those items have special composition possibilities and unusual similarities. The “Cascata Iridescente” changes the material status of the observed objects, into vaporized chains which are effected by the light, using theirs well known physical characteristics.
