CLIMA
In ogni grande città è presente un romantico e solenne monumento equestre. Questa statua di Vittorio Emanuele II sembra camminare sulle acque, ma è in realtà inondata da un magma multicolore che ha allagato l’Urbe e inghiotte nell’indifferenza i monumenti pubblici.
Con questa visione catastrofica ho voluto descrivere uno dei mondi non troppo impossibili. Una denuncia ecologista attraverso la visione di una società che si adatta con indifferenza a tutto, sopravvivendo a qualsiasi catastrofe e apocalittica irriversibilità. E questo è ciò che, ad un tempo, mi sgomenta e mi consola.
Il presente lavoro, dal titolo” Fu il Vittoriano” (eseguito con tecnica ad olio e smalti su tela) si inserisce in una serie di miei quadri dal titolo “swimming colors” dedicato al rapporto tra catastrofi climatiche e monumenti d’Italia.

CLIMATE
In every big city ther’is a solemn equestrian statue. This one, Vittorio Emanuele the second (first king of united Italy), looks like walking on waters, but it’s flooded by a multicolr mud that is filling up Rome and is eating up public monuments in the general indifference.
It’s a mud makes of unreal colors, product of pollution and water’s level increase, climate changes wich have upseted flora and fauna. In this apochalittic scenery, people swim with fun and indifference to the historical memory’s decadence.
With this catastrophic look, I have wish describe one of possible world. An ecological report through the description of a society capable of adapting to anything, surviving to any catastrophe. This is what upset and comfort me at same time.
