È L'UNA DI NOTTE
Lavorare con i ritagli del passato e del presente per provare a immaginare un futuro possibile; riscoprire, rielaborare un materiale già esistente e la scelta delle immagini per estrarre significato dalla loro associazione. Con il collage non solo posso riciclare ma posso trovare pattern e texture che non sarei capace di fare con il pennello. Nel quadro che propongo, intitolato “È l’una di notte” oltre all’uso del riciclo della carta dove una cosa può diventare un’altra (la metamorfosi delle trame), ho voluto evidenziare lo spreco energetico e l’inquinamento architettonico inteso come abusivismo edilizio ed eccesso del costruito. Una realtà sospesa fra la meraviglia, lo smarrimento, l’ironia che non si esaurisce nella suggestione dell’immagine proposta, ma che propaga vibrazioni in altri contenitori mentali verso spazi inaspettati.

To work with pieces of the past and of the present in order to imagine a possible future to rediscover and reinterpret an existing material and the images chosen to extract a meaning from their combination. The Collage not only allows me to recycle but, thanks to this technique, I can find patterns and textures that I would not be able to reach by painting. In my collage titled “It’s one o’clock in the night”, in addition to recycling paper whereby things can become something else (the metamorphosis of textures), I highlighted the energetic waste and the architectural pollution meant as unauthorised building and excess of construction. A reality suspended between surprise, astonishment and irony that does not stop with the suggestion of the image proposed but it propagates vibrations to other mental frames towards unexpected spaces.
