Presentazione all’Arte e alla raccolta di immagini fotografiche “Contemplato “di Aliai - intervento ambientale 2004-2010…
"Non sono un artista, ma uno scienziato di formazione, e sono lontano anni luce dal modo di pensare della stragrande maggioranza di coloro che esercitano l’arte. Di fronte alle opere di “arte fotografica” di Aliai devo confessare che mi sono trovato in una dimensione veramente inconsueta di questa rappresentazione dello spirito umano. Non vedo nella sua opera manifestazioni di ego – e con questo non dico che tutte le rappresentazioni dell’ego siano per forza negative, al contrario a volte sono manifestazioni di vera genialità – ma una rappresentazione completa dell’obiettività del mondo trasfigurata nella sua intrinseca bellezza. Una bellezza che a noi sfugge spesso, ma che questa originalissima e inconsueta artista vuole riproporci, come per ricordarci: “vi siete dimenticati che la Natura e l’Universo sono essi stessi una immensa opera d’arte, basta solo uscire dal proprio bozzolo, osservare con attenzione e poi espandere quanto osservato con quei moltiplicatori di forze che sono la nostra mente e la nostra coscienza”. Certamente quella ritratta da Aliai non è solo una natura delle forme, che comunque traspaiono armoniose e ben volumetriche in una cangiante fusione tra corpo umano e gli oggetti solo apparentemente inanimati della natura, ma anche e soprattutto una natura dove il gioco della luce e del colore modellano queste forme animandole e proiettandole in un mondo senza spazio e senza tempo. Nel regno del vero artista che le ha fatte: non Dio, ma il nostro pensiero e l’inconscio collettivo che ne è alla base. Aliai ci mostra il mondo per come è, un universo tridimensionale e quindi assolutamente concreto, ma ci ricorda anche come questa fisicità è modellata dai vari giochi di luce, dalle sue riflessioni e rifrazioni, e dai suoi rimbalzi elettromagnetici da un colore all’altro. Tutto questo non è altro che una rappresentazione, rapportata alla natura in cui siamo immersi, dell’interazione tra materia ed energia che costituisce esattamente l’universo che studiamo noi astrofisici. Non esistono l’una separata dall’altra, e questo lo impariamo dalle interazioni che avvengono a livello delle particelle subatomiche: qualunque interazione produce energia sotto forma di fotoni di varie lunghezze d’onda, e al contempo comporta la nascita di nuove particelle di materia, in una danza senza fine dove la materia e l’energia – e la luce è la forma più palese di energia ai nostri occhi – si trasformano l’una nell’altra. Allo stesso modo le figure rappresentate nei quadri di Aliai sono oggetti concreti modulati dalle varie inclinazioni della luce e dal colore che emerge dalla interazione della luce con le molecole dell’aria e dell’acqua in particolare...”

“I am not an artist, but I was educated as a scientist, and I am light years away from the way of thinking of most persons who practice art in general. I must confess that, as soon I had the pleasure to know the works of “photographic art” by Aliai, I suddenly found myself in a very unusual dimension of this artistic depiction of the human spirit. In her artistic work I do not see manifestations of the ego – and claiming this I do not mean that all the representations of the ego are necessarily negative, on the contrary sometimes they are manifestations of true brilliance – but a complete artistic display of the objectivity of the world as it appears to us, an objectivity that is here transfigured in its intrinsic beauty. A beauty that often escapes us, but which this so original and unusual artist intends to suggest again to us, like if she wanted to remind us these words: “You have forgot that Nature and the Universe are themselves an immense artistic work, you just need to go out of your own cocoon, to observe around carefully and then expand what you observed using those force multipliers that are your own mind and consciousness”.
“Surely the one depicted by Aliai is not only a nature of shapes, which however transpires harmonious and sharply volumetric within a dynamic fusion between human body and natural objects that are only apparently inanimate, but also and most importantly a nature where the play of light and of colour models these shapes by animating them and projecting them into a dimension where space and time cease to exist. Into the realm of the true artist who created them: not God, but our thought and the collective unconscious that constitutes its foundation. Aliai shows to us the world as it just is, a three-dimensional universe and therefore absolutely palpable, but also she reminds us how this “being physical” is shaped by the wide-ranging plays of light, by its reflections and refractions, and by its electromagnetic ricochets from a colour to another. All of this is nothing else than a representation, compared to the nature in which we are immersed, of the interaction of matter with energy, which constitutes exactly the universe that we astrophysicists are used to investigate. Matter ad energy cannot exist separated the one from the other, and we learn this from the interactions occurring in the realm of elementary particles: whatever interaction produces energy in the form of photons of various wavelengths, and all the while it involves the birth of new particles of matter, within an endless dance where matter and energy – and light is the most evident form of energy to our eyes – transforms the one into the other. In the same way the figures that are displayed in Aliai’s pictures are concrete objects that are modulated by the wide-ranging bents of the light and by the colour that emerges from the interaction of light with the molecules of air and of water in particular …".
