NOI NON ABBIAMO IL TEMPO, NOI SIAMO NEL TEMPO
Una delle minacce, spesso ignorata, ma tra le più gravi, alla sostenibilità è il nostro distorto rapporto con il tempo. Il tempo è denaro, si dice. Dunque, un'accelerazione  forsennata mirata a raggiungere sempre maggiori profitti in tempi sempre più brevi, ci fa stravolgere i ritmi non solo nostri ma anche delle altre specie.
L'installazione vuole ricordare che il tempo non è solo, e neanche principalmente, una risorsa, ma la dimensione che ci permette di creare significati nella vita nostra, in quella degli altri esseri viventi, nel rapporto con l'ambiente. Un'efficace politica verso la sostenibilità deve dunque basarsi sul rispetto del tessuto ritmico-temporale del mondo che ci circonda.
Il lavoro è pensato per essere montato, in diverse versioni, in vari luoghi di passaggio, anche abbastanza anonimi, senza ulteriori indicazioni.

Le illustrazioni allegate sono indicative, saranno studiate realizzazioni a seconda dei luoghi.

WE DO NOT HAVE TIME, WE ARE IN TIME
One important, although often overlooked, threat to sustainability is our distorted relation with time. Time is money, they say, and so everything gets speeded up in order to make greater  profits in shorter times, and in the process our own rhythms, but also these of other species are wrecked. My installation aims at reminding us that time is not only, and not even primarily, a resource, but the dimension that permits us to give significance to our life, to that of the living beings around us, to our relation with the environment. Effective policies for sustainability have to be based on the respect for the rhythmic-temporal fabric of the world around us.
It is planned to mount the installation, in different versions, in various, also rather anonymous, through-ways, without further comments.
