    The Competition Pure Water Vision: Acea EcoArt Contest 2010 is an initiative by the cultural platform EcoArt Project. Organized by Fortunato Productions in collaboration with the non-profit, Art For Promotion.
    Main Sponsor of Pure Water Vision: Acea EcoArt Contest 2010 is Acea Group. Based in Rome, Acea Group is the largest Italian water utility and serves over 8 million people. Acea Group manages integrated water services - water supply, sewage and water treatment within the territory of Rome and its province. It also works in the management of water services in other areas of Lazio, Tuscany, Umbria and Campania.

    PURPOSE

    The contest will award the Acea EcoArt Prize 2010, publish the EcoArt Book - edition 2010 Catalog and organize an exhibition.

    The contest also aims to put Fortunato Productions in contact with artists and creative people to be involved in activities of cultural and artistic events production and communication projects.

  • THEME

    Artists are called to express their creativity to represent the relationship between water, man and the environment with relation to sustainable development of the planet.

    The reflection can also be extended to water pollution, water as source of life, water as source of renuable energy, the process of desertification and emergency situations.

    All of which themes which simultaneously grip the planet and ask a series of burning social, anthropological, political and cultural questions.

    The objective is to highlight little known aspects of the water cycle.

    To stimulate, through the universal and metaphorical language of art, a series of reflections on what lies behind the apparent simplicity of pure water and what happens before and after the distribution of this precious resource that flows from taps in our homes and through waterworks, sewers and water treatment facilities.

  • PRIZES

    The winner will be awarded the 2010 Acea EcoArt Prize with a value of € 10,000.00, consisting in an acquisitive prize on the part of Acea Group. The work will become part of the collection Acea.

    10 Finalists will be invited to show their works at an exhibition in the city of Rome.

    30 artworks will be selected and published on the EcoArt Book Two catalogue.

  • Terms and conditions of participation

    To enter the contest artists can fill in the entry form, not later then October 31st, 2010.

    Registration Fee

    The registration fee is 35 euros (thirty five euros) for each work entered.

    Apart from entry to the competition, the above payment includes entry to the EcoArt Project cultural platform and its Activities, such as cultural-marketing projects, participation at important exhibition events and fairs, production of editorial projects and publications.

    The works presented in the competition will be automatically included in the global archive GAD - Green Art Database, a useful tool for artistic promotion through the instruments of online sharing.
